There’s often a quiet stretch after you’ve done the thing well — the room moves on, and it’s just you again. Something about you is still there in that gap, even with nothing to show for it. What part of you would you want someone to know that has nothing to do with what you accomplish?

I’d want someone to know that I’m still me when I’m not doing anything for anyone.

I’m someone who feels things deeply, notices the little things, and cares more than I usually know how to explain. I can be exhausted, overwhelmed, quiet, or completely lost and still have so much love, curiosity, humor, and softness inside me.

I don’t want to be known only for what I survive, fix, accomplish, or give to other people. I want someone to know the person underneath all of that.

The part of me that just wants to exist, laugh at stupid things, be curious about weird ideas, make something pretty, love fiercely, and feel like I’m allowed to take up space without having to earn it first.
